Example for 1-day tour of the ancient Genzano and Ariccia villages with Show Cooking and visit to Palaces and Park
Morning: Pick up at the Castel Gandolfo train station (or at another extra place to be defined), meeting with the Tour Leader and driver and transfer to Genzano. Meeting with the guide and visit of the Palazzo Sforza Cesarini in Genzano with its park and the ancient village with breathtaking views of Lake Nemi. We then walk down a very special road where in June they celebrate and create the famous Infiorata: a 2000- square meter carpet of flowers along the road created by the inhabitants of Genzano. Along the way, we will meet an eco-fashion designer and we will walk down to visit a local bakery with its fourth generation of the ‘Pane Casareccio di Genzano IGP’bakers who will have a cooking show: you will see how one of the most famous breads in Italy is produced and try to work the dough with sourdough / natural and organic flour. You will also have the opportunity to see the evolution of the typical and classic products of Genzano, thanks to a wide choice of excellent bread and pizza with spelt, 4 cereals, wholemeal, gluten-free and other types of flour, according to the most recent and particular needs of customers.
Then, we will move to Ariccia and have lunch in one of its typical and characteristic “fraschette” serving zero-mile dishes and organic products and we will attend a cooking show on how the pasta we eat is actually made. In Ariccia there is also the famous Porchetta IGP, for pork eaters, but, depending on availability and the season, the restaurant mainly cooks its own vegetables and products grown in a nearby vegetable garden.
Afternoon: We will visit the famous Palazzo Chigi in Ariccia where the ‘Il Gattopardo’ (the Leopard) movie by Luchino Visconti was shot.
We will then visit its park, which dates back to the sixteenth century, with lush vegetation mixed with deciduous leaves, archaeological finds, fountains and artifacts of the seventeenth century.
Throughout the year (in the evening and once a month), the Palace hosts a splendid theatrical visit of the building with actors in costume that evoke the protagonists of the past, especially princes, who for centuries lived there.
The park, around August and September, is also the scene to an incredible itinerant show with many actors in costume and light effects. In addition, between December and January, the park also hosts a beautiful Christmas light show that changes every year.
Last but not least, the Park is the perfect location for a Green Wedding that we can organize through the Green Wedding in Italy project.

Extra: Entrances, transfers from and to Fiumicino or Ciampino airports, from and to hotels in Rome or the Castelli Romani or to any other destination not specified in the program; train to or from and to Castel Gandolfo; anything not specified in “the tour includes”.
