Example of tour to Tivoli, on the Tiburtini Mountains, at 29 km from Rome with a breathtaking view over the Roman country side.

Morning: Pick up at Rome hotel, meet-up with the tour leader and eco-driver and transfer to Tivoli.
We will visit its 3 famous Villas, highlighting their less known aspects:

– Villa d’Este, a UNESCO Heritage Site, with its famous fountains, caves and choreographed water features. The villa and its gardens are also accessible also through electric vehicles for disabled people.

– Villa Adriana, another UNESCO Heritage Site, built by the emperor Adriano. Here we will discover architectural beauties while walking through cypresses, tall oaks, and secular olive groves.

– Villa Gregoriana, with its enchanting and immense naturalistic and archaeological park, with waterfalls. Experiences include naturalistic itineraries to get to know the fauna and flora of the area.
We will have a wine and food tasting at its near-by restaurant with zero-mile and organic products and/or we will have lunch in a typical restaurant inside the old village.

Afternoon: Then we will have a stroll in the old village alleys and meet some of the last artisans of Tivoli such as a wooden fretwork artist and other artists who have chosen Tivoli as their home. Then we will head back to your Rome hotel or to your next destination
